Veolia has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding Industrial business based out of either Toowoomba or Chinchilla. In this  role you will maintain an existing customer portfolio, drive organic growth through relationship selling and win new business across multiple market verticals for a large suite of services including hazardous packaged waste, bulk liquid waste, industrial services, remediation services, solid waste and recycling services and the collection and recycling of used lube oils. 
You are a strong negotiator with a strategic and solutions focused mindset. You enjoy smashing targets, championing change and enjoy building authentic relationships with your customers. You’re not afraid to ask questions when you’re unsure and understand the importance of listening to your customers so you can find the best possible solutions for them.

This will be a fast paced and dynamic role where you will have the ability to assist clients with finding innovative and sustainable solutions, while also making a positive difference for the environment. 
Key responsibilities
  • Liaise with sales and business management to maximise business opportunities. 
  • Execute contract resigns’ and overcome objections to combat contract cancellations as part of our customer retention plan.
  • Identify and actively pursue new revenue opportunities and potential customers.
  • Explore and pursue additional revenue opportunities within an existing customer portfolio.
  • Be effective in promoting the business through detailed sales quotes and proposals. 
  • Provide feedback on customer service levels and assist in preventative strategies to minimise customer complaints.
  • Continuously monitor the health of your portfolio through shared discussion with customers, sales and business management.

What you’ll need to be successful
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role with B2B sales.
  • A proven track record for developing new and existing accounts within a service based industry.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong entrepreneurial skills who can easily identify and seize opportunities.
  • You have the ability to influence, establish and maintain authentic and genuine relationships.
  • Exposure to sectors such as health, government, commercial industrial and resources and energy sectors will be well regarded.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) tools are desirable but not essential.
