About the role

The HR Superintendent provides operational HR support across the business and is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of Human Resources processes and initiatives. The role has a major focus on complex industrial relations, HR governance, specialised advisory services, act as the 2IC for the HR Operations Manager and provide hands on business partnering collaboration with GPC Departments to meet operational objectives.

You will use data and insights to inform the best approach and decision making and lead your team to provide specialist services, advisory and support in the areas of:

  • Industrial Relations advice in line with the provisions of the GPC Enterprise Agreement;
  • HR Policy governance and HR Reporting administration;
  • HRIS administration;
  • Recruitment;
  • Performance system administration;
  • Disputes, investigations and complex case management and RTW liaison;
  • Management of workplace consultation mechanisms; and
  • GPC Enterprise Agreement implementation and process support.

This role will see you use your analytical approach to optimise Human Resources process capabilities within departments through the development and coaching of GPC leaders. You will contribute to the delivery of the HR Business Plan through the completion of projects aligned to the People, Community and Sustainability and GPC Strategic Plans.

Overarching this you will drive efficient processes and the development of a culture of continuous improvement and responsibility. You model behaviours aligned with the GPC values and identify and create opportunities for cross department interaction and learnings.

About the person

Professional qualifications will be complemented by exceptional personal drive, a high level of resilience, personal integrity and commitment to deliver. You have proven experience as a credible senior HR Business Partner and be ready to take on the challenge of leading an operational HR specialist team that supports a diverse and geographically dispersed business. Having previously worked in a 24/7 operational environment that has undergone significant transformation, will be highly regarded.

You will have the ability to coach and guide your team and build strong relationships within the business. You are someone who will rise to the challenge and create opportunities to grow your career with GPC and influence innovation.

Relocation assistance, in additional to base and super, will be offered to the successful candidate. This role will require you to live within the Gladstone community.
