As a Principal Engineer at Shine, you will have a breadth of knowledge across a range of languages / technologies in different paradigms (including Java and AWS) and inspire trust of that knowledge quickly with both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to lead others in complex problem solving tasks' teaching them new skills in the process are capable of debugging the hairiest problems which your team encounters. You have a deep understanding of approaches and disciplines such as Agile, DevOps, and Software / Solution Architecture and yet you are also able to convey these ideas in terms that business orientated clients can understand. You set direction at the system level and are consistently and positively influencing decision-making at the programme level. You keep up to date with industry developments, actively learning and keeping abreast of the latest technologies. You are able to work within and understand complex commercial relationships with a client or multiple clients, and make decisions or recommendations which are sympathetic to these needs.

We will pay for costs related to certification to approved programs such as AWS and Oracle.
Up to $250 per year on reference books or self-paced training materials without prior approval
