Compliance Manager - Insurance

  • NATIONAL ROLE
  • ASSURANCE, FRAMEWORK & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
  • BECOME A ‘TRUSTED ADVISER’

THE ROLE

  • Newly created senior level role where you will work closely with the general counsel across the development, implementation and management of compliance projects for a high profile insurance group – general insurance broking, life insurance, TPA claims management, authorised rep network and underwriting agency
  • Monitoring and working closely with a large authorised rep network located across Australia and work closely with each network to better understand their operations and provide advice and recommendations in line with ASIC, AFCA & ACCC standards
  • Audit assurance across all areas of the business
  • You will become a subject matter expert and a ‘trusted adviser’ to the business as you provide regulatory advice and act as a referral point for all enquires around compliance
  • Identify and escalate breaches and complaints to senior management
  • Liaising with and advising executive management on matters of governance, risk and compliance and prepare reports and presentations when needed

YOU

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a background in general insurance, financial services or life insurance
  • Legal qualifications highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of relevant industry and regulatory issues
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with and influence outcomes with internal and external stakeholders at the highest management level
  • Solid organisational , time management skills and project management experience
