Murray PHN is responsible for improving health outcomes across its region, which covers almost 100,000 sq km in regional Victoria. Murray PHN is funded by the Commonwealth Government to support primary health care providers, commission efficient and effective primary health care services and improve health systems for its 650,000+ population

Your new role 
Based in Bendigo, the Chief Operating Officer is a newly created Executive position, which will be responsible for commissioning, coordination and population health planning to generate improvements in health outcomes in communities throughout our region.  This position will support Murray PHN’s engagement of stakeholders to improve access, equity, and quality of health care delivery and commissioning models of care targeted at need, and tailored to regional context.  This Executive position will contribute to Murray PHN’s pandemic and emergency planning response.

What you’ll need to succeed 
Murray PHN is seeking applicants with strong relationship skills and high emotional intelligence. Core skills include change management and a proven ability to build trust and establish credibility and reliability with stakeholders and communities. Applicants with significant experience in the health system particularly primary care, will be highly regarded.
