Assistant Accountant (Maximum Term Contract)
• Maximum Term Contract (May 2020 - August 2021)
• Full time hours
• On-site car parking
• Located at Enfield

 

The Finance and Accounting Department is responsible for the timely provision and analysis of financial information to all business units to assist them in achieving their objectives.

Reporting to the Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Accountants and Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities of the role include assistance with;

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts reconciliations
  • Coordinate, implement and report on Capexes and fixed assets
  • Assist in the annual budget and annual audit process
  • Assist Operations Manager as required regarding accounting matters
  • Run the monthly depreciation 
  • Assist in the finalisation of year end and month end accounts
  • Identify any issues or risk and follow up with actions
  • Perform BW (Operating Statement) reviews for allocated profit centres
  • Review current operational processes to identify opportunities for reducing overhead costs
  • Conduct weekly and monthly EFT and cheque reviews
  • CBA Commbiz signatory
  • Assist all Accountants and the Financial Controller with various tasks and projects when required

Skills and experience;

  • Degree within Accounting discipline or CA/CPA (Preferred)
  • Current and unrestricted drivers licence
  • Financial management
  • Risk management
  • Project management
  • Change management
  • SAP knowledge (preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated and disciplined approach to work
  • Ability to work in a team environment
