Casual Microbiology Analyst × 2

  • Two new casual positions available 
  • Immediate start required
  • Regents Park, Sydney NSW

If you are seeking a rewarding progression in your Microbiology career working in the dynamic lab environment, one of the available roles may be for you.

    Reporting to the Sydney Laboratory Manager, you will apply your technical knowledge and expertise to facilitate analytical procedures with a focus on quality and process improvements.

    Your new role will include, and is not limited to:

    • Performing routine sample preparation and testing
    • Operating test equipment and instruments
    • Identifying and solving problems 
    • Understanding the principles of tests performed
    • Taking an active role in innovation and continuous improvement  

    What you’ll need to succeed:

    • Recognised qualifications in Microbiology or an equivalent scientific discipline
    • At least 12 months experience in a similar Microbiology position within an analytical laboratory 
    • An ability to work effectively within a team
    • Being comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
    • A quality-focused approach with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Knowledge of NATA and TGA requirements and working to GLP and GMP standards
    • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) would be an advantage

    This is a dynamic role that would suit an individual with exceptional technical and communication skills.
