The childcare industry is a highly valued and extremely important part of everyday life. Families and Government rely on the industry to provide the absolute best possible start to a child's education and prepare them for school and this is the reason why the Government has singled out the sector and provided vital financial support through the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Government has ensured that this sector will remain viable in such uncertain times so as to provide care for families who are working and stimulating growth to help re-start the economy.

Harmony is a privately owned, National childcare business based on the Gold Coast and Brisbane with centre locations in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. The group was established by two well-known industry icons who are extremely passionate about children's safety and providing leading care and education at all of their services. Harmony provides market leading resources and environments, highly qualified and experienced educators and an excellent support office and infrastructure for future growth. The business which has been growing steadily over the last few years is very stable and has solid financial backing from it's shareholders with a significant pipeline of new services and funding to be delivered over the next 5 years.

Harmony now has an opening for a skilled Chief Operations Officer to lead the direction and drive performance of the centres, strengthen the culture within the organisation and support the Managing Directors in delivering growth. Reporting to the Board your new role will have a blend of strategy and day to day operational management. The business is seeking an executive with exceptional people management capability, confident in taking the lead on people matters and who can quickly build rapport and relationships to drive engagement and performance aligned to the group's strategic plans and objectives. Other key responsibilities will include:

>Deliver and drive initiatives across the business to optimize productivity and efficiencies and support sustainable business innovation and growth.
>Working with the Board and other members of the Executive team to develop and implement the group's business plan.
>Manage the strategic planning process which outlines business objectives, milestones and targets.
>Complete and present timely financial, operational and project management reports to the Board.
>Provide daily support for all operational staff ensuring that they have the resources required to enable them to deliver on all financial and business objectives set out in the business plan.

To take the challenge you will be a degree qualified Chief Operations Officer or General Manager who has solid experience working in multi-outlet service businesses and who is proficient in managing and supporting large teams. Experience in the Aged Care or Child Care or hospitality industry sectors would be highly valued and it is important that you are a Manager who leads from the front and who has a collaborative style and skills in achieving high engagement outcomes with your excellent communication and relationship building skills. Furthermore you will possess:

> A contemporary and versatile leadership style that balances the nurturing and cultivation of potential with a high sense of accountability and performance across teams and organisation.
>At least 10 years operating in a leadership position with a progressively larger scope, responsibilities and complexity.
>Proven ability in building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
>Demonstrated experience in leading an organisation of similar size and proven experience in delivering KPI's, EBITDA, occupancy, customer and employee experience, WHS and shareholder value.
>Executive level ability to drive a value-based culture of collaboration and participation, setting high personal standards of cooperative and collaborative behaviour.
