As a reputable and dynamic company, Construction Sciences is a leading player in the Construction Materials Testing arena, providing  CMT, Geotechnical Engineering, Subsurface Utility Engineering, and Environmental Services, in Australia and internationally.

We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Manager at our Rockhampton site. In this role, you will be a key member of the Central Queensland Leadership Team. The role will provide engaging work, leading a results driven team and will position you well for ongoing career progression.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary objective of the role will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory to achieve client outcomes in line with project provisions, while providing supportive leadership to your team.
Participating in the delivery of projects will see you testing and analysing complex soil samples, ensuring the output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations. You will also be expected to work independently, develop and maintain positive client relationships, and seek out ways to continuously improve the operation of the site. 

ABOUT YOU
As a laboratory leader with at least 5 years under your belt, you will be an experienced people leader, with strong technical and commercial ability. Additionally, you will possess:

  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Upbeat attitude towards developing and supporting junior technicians 
  • Construction Material Testing Diploma
  • Current manual drivers licence and Radiation User Licence
  • Experience in NATA signatory approvals 
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Standards for Soil and Aggregate Testing & relevant Methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
