The role

As part of our Corporate group, the Senior Communications and Marketing Advisor will play a key role in furthering the development of Saab’s communications and marketing function.


This will involve supporting the development and delivery of Saab Australia’s communications and marketing strategy to support achievement of the company’s annual objectives and long-term business strategy. This will include the design, development, execution and measurement of communications and marketing plans.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development and delivery of the communications and marketing strategy to achieve a high level of company brand/product awareness with key defence, government, civil/commercial customers and talent acquisition markets
  • Lead the development and delivery of major communications and marketing campaigns, plans and tactics
  • Lead the design and development of communications and marketing materials
  • Manage Saab’s digital communications channels and advertising program
  • Identify and project manage the delivery of corporate events and sponsorships
  • Identify and negotiate corporate sponsorship opportunities
  • Lead development of communications and marketing content (written, visual and audio visual) for use across a range of channels (e.g. media, social media, newsletters, web and EDM).


About you

As an ideal candidate for the role, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in a corporate communications role
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and execution of communications and marketing plans
  • Ability to research technical content and refine requirements for general publication
  • Proven ability to develop productive relationships, work collaboratively, and influence outcomes
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with multiple competing and changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Formal qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. communications, marketing or similar).


As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
