Haystac has an opportunity for an Account Director in the Melbourne office to lead a team across a portfolio of clients. 
  
Reporting to the GM, this position will play a key role in the success of the business by working closely with the leadership team to guide a portfolio of largely retail clients.  In this role you will be expected to work closely with the client’s other agency partners to deliver integrated campaigns across a variety of channels.
  
Role Requirements
The Account Director is responsible for the management of key accounts and the strategic direction, growth and profitability of their respective business unit. They are a leader who inspires their people, peers and clients and are respected for their unmatched technical ability and interpersonal skills. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the health of client relationships within the business unit and can self-manage the team with only occasional supervision of the GM.
  • Under the guidance of your GM, you will lead, prepare, present and implement high quality business proposals for new and organic opportunities 
  • Well versed in earned media at large you will advise on and implement campaigns comprising a full-spectrum of activities from digital, traditional media, social media, activations, sponsorship, content and more
  • Lead and mentor the team to achieve key business milestones as well as increasing individuals capabilities 
  
What we are looking for:
  • Extensive PR experience as a SAM or young Account Director within an agency. 5 years+ PR agency experience is essential.
  • Evidence of strong planning, organisational and decision making skills - ability to juggle many projects / activities at the one time and set timelines 
  • Proven experience growing client accounts both organically and through new business 
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capability, internally and externally  
  • Someone who can provide ideas proactively to clients to maximise results and facilitate organic growth 
  • You must currently reside in Australia.
