Academic Support Officer

We are Queensland's first grammar school. Our school caters for boys from Prep to Year 12 through an outstanding education offered to day and boarding students. We have developed innovative approaches to address the specific individual learning and personal development needs of boys.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Student Services Team as an Academic Support Officer on a permanent basis. 

Reporting directly to the Dean of Academics, the role of the Academic Support Officer is to provide quality administrative and clerical support across the Secondary School through effective coordination and communication of a variety of academic matters.

The duties of the Academic Support Officer include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing secretarial support to the Deputy Headmaster & Dean of Academics including but not limited to managing their calendars, data entry and word processing;
  • Administration of Academic Reporting (Prep – 12) and updating student data for secondary certification
  • Setting up Parent-Teacher Interview Schedule including coordination of facilities set up, refreshments, name tags etc;
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date teacher and student records;
  • Assisting with administration of NAPLAN requirements and testing; and
  • Providing support to Student Services Office as needed;
