A rare opportunity working for Ames Australasia in the hardware and home improvement sector. This position would suit a person based in the Batemans Bay region who is looking for a part-time role in sales and product merchandising.


The role:

You will to be the face of our exceptional brands across an allocated sales territory and be responsible for:

  • Sales budget achievement within an allocated territory
  • Range sell in of specific product categories
  • Negotiating and influencing sales orders
  • In store selling and merchandising of core ranges and promotional offers
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customer staff and store management


Ideal Candidate:

In this important role you be will managing multiple customers across a wide sales territory. You are expected to be opportunistic, self-motivated, enthusiastic and have strong customer relationship skills.

Ideally this position would suit a person with hardware or FMCG industry experience who understands product positioning in a retail environment and is highly proficient at inventory management, selling promotional product ranges and order writing.  You will be able to 'win' new business and further develop existing product lines.    In many cases you will be required to sell, replenish shelves, merchandise products and be responsible for the placement our high quality hardware product range. This permanent part time role (24 hours per fortnight) services the Bunnings Hardware stores in Nowra, Ulladulla, & Batemans Bay. You will be supported by a strong management and customer service structure.  Physical fitness is needed to perform this position as well as a reliable car and smart phone.

We will deliver a high level of training and communication support for this very important role as our company believes in strong career pathways, a high performance culture and developing our people. 


* Previous Experience working with Bunnings highly desirable
