Purchasing Assistant

THE ROLE

The major responsibility of the Purchasing Assistant is to provide Administration and Category support to the Product Category Team.

The role reports to the Range Manager and is an integral part of the Category team. 

This role is suited to a person who is highly organised, has great attention to detail and is passionate about the role.

This role is based at our Head Office in Keysborough in a great location with onsite parking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating new line detail forms that form the Buy Plan for all new products.
  • MSL Setup – Assist Demand Planner to setup the MSL in REX for future allocation / replenishment process.
  • Tracking all new product via a new product tracker.
  • Tracking all new sample orders to ensure they are on time and will meet the Photography process and schedule.
  • Communicate with suppliers to gather and confirm all product details, photography requirements and costings.
  • Work with the Planning, Marketing and Category teams to execute all new product lines to Market.
  • Creating visual presentations for new products for the wider business.
  • Provide support to the Planning team in creating Purchase orders in REX and Suppliers ordering process.
  • Regularly communicate with all suppliers and follow up the status of all Open purchase orders.
  • Update open Purchase orders to ensure communicated and approved ETD and ETA changes are kept up to date.  
  • Liaise with the shipping team to ensure a smooth hand over of booked purchase orders is met. 
  • Ensure Online / Web Store Product images and descriptions maintenance.
  • Ensure Web Store is create/updated with New Product. Create New products via Magento
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation to confirm regulation compliance is maintained.
  • Assisting with the QA process and liaising with suppliers and ESR Customer Care department.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Intermediate or better Skills in Excel.
  • Magento experience preferred but not essential
  • Solid time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability of multi-tasking.
  • Effective communicator.
  • A proven track record as a Purchasing Assistant within a catalogue driven retail organisation
  • Passionate About the Product within the Early Settler Ranges
  • Sales driven
  • A ‘’Can-Do’’ attitude
  • Consistently exercised good judgement
  • Problem solving skills
  • Team Player and always ready to help others
