THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to the continuing expansion of our Consulting and Analyst Division, an exciting new opportunity has arisen in our Consulting team for an Accountant. If you are a bright and enthusiastic ‘people person’, wanting to learn from an experienced team and who enjoys a challenge providing support to a diverse range of clients at different work locations, then this is the role for you.

Initially, the role will be providing assistance with:

  • General management accounting
  • Financial reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting and;
  • Business and systems reviews

With the support of our consulting team, this position will educate you in a variety of accounting and finance related services to ensure your future skills include:

  • Designing and implementing internal controls to provide quality assurance over financial reporting
  • Documentation of financial processes to assist an organisation to identify areas of risk
  • Management and financial reporting
  • Month end accounting, financial performance reviews and variance analysis
  • Reconciliation support
  • Budgeting and forecasting

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To ensure your success in this role, ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or accounting
  • Minimum of 2-years experience in a finance team office environment
  • Advancing computer software skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Broadening knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Developing analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Articulate verbal and written communication skills which will enable you to liaise effectively with clients and staff
  • Organisational skills
  • Determined to work to strict deadlines
  • Open to working both autonomously and within a team environment 
  • A satisfactory outcome of Criminal History Check
  • Current drivers’ licence
