Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is a leading integrated cancer research, treatment and education centre globally.
Melbourne
Fixed Term Part Time

Outstanding candidates are encouraged to apply for positions now open at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre – a place where our normal days are extraordinary; as are the people we care for.

Peter Mac is one of a handful of integrated cancer research, education and treatment centres in the world. Each day our team strives to provide the very best in cancer care, even better treatments and potential cancer cures for all people affected by cancer.

Globally, we are facing one of the most pivotal times in the pursuit of cancer cures, and Peter Mac stands at its forefront. Together, we aim to lead a new era of cancer prevention, care and discovery, supported by state-of-the-art facilities at our new home within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building.

Your role in our future.

A position is available for a part time Research Assistant (0.6 FTE 3 Days a Week) working in zebrafish developmental and disease models. The position is available in the Hogan Laboratory at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the University of Melbourne, Australia.

The Hogan laboratory uses zebrafish and mouse model systems to characterise developmental mechanisms of vascular development with a focus on lymphatics and the blood brain barrier. Specifically, the position will involve extensive molecular biology, transgenesis, CRISPR mutagenesis and animal breeding to generate new models in zebrafish. The research assistant will support a number of ongoing projects in the laboratory, interacting with postdoctoral researchers and students and working closely with the laboratory manager and Prof Hogan.
