About the role

 

Situated within our Fit-out and Construction division, the role will see you managing all the design aspects of the project to ensure the project is delivered on time and exceeds the client's expectations. You will be directly reporting into the Project Director and working closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator while pro-actively liaising with the client throughout.

Key duties include:

  • Communicating effectively to form partnerships and influence and drive stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Oversee and conduct the design process against schedule and budget
  • Coordinating design functions through pre-construction process, including providing design consulting and governance
  • Assist project schedule reviews with project managers and senior management
  • Co-ordinate and control design submittals for review and approval
  • Complete Design coordination & management throughout the project

Skills and experience

 

This is a role that will make the most of your eye for detail, technical intrigue as well as your interpersonal and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-10 years of Design experience within the Commercial Construction space
  • Tertiary qualifications across Construction, Architecture, Planning or Engineering
  • Strong project management, decision making and stakeholder engagement
  • Autonomously organise and manage all design approval process
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end project life-cycle stages (including thorough analysis of plans and programmes)
