Assessment and Response Worker
  • Full-time (40 hours per week with an accrued day off per month)
  • Primarily based in Bairnsdale

This role is part of the Family, Youth and Children Services (FYCS) Unit which provides services including Alcohol and Drug Services; Integrated Family Services; Assessment and Response incorporating Child FIRST; Counselling; Maternal and Child Health; Homelessness Support Program; School Nursing; Youth Justice; Youth Programs; and Male and Female Family Violence programs.

This varied and interesting position will have a focus on:

  • Providing initial needs identification and comprehensive assessments for clients requiring access to programs within the FYCS unit.
  • Implementing the role of Child First and Family Violence services.
  • Utilising the Best Interest Framework when responding to child well being referrals
  • Applying the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management framework (MARAM) to family violence referrals.
