Venture Housing Company Ltd. (Venture) is a registered Community Housing Provider, delivering safe and affordable housing options for Territorians, with a focus on key workers on low to moderate incomes.  Venture also provides and manages specialist disability accommodation and housing for seniors and is engaged in the delivery of housing development projects.  Venture is a “For Social Purpose” (Not-For-Profit) company that incorporates commercial methodologies to deliver social outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager with a high level of integrity, motivation, strong attention to detail and demonstrable skills.

Based in the Darwin CBD, our office is a small one of motivated professionals with a high performance culture that accommodates flexibility.  Performers will be appreciated, rewarded and will thrive, but this is no place for passengers. The ability to participate in rostered telephone on-call duty after hours is essential.

The role is a busy one with a growing portfolio of 183 residential properties; of which, Venture owns the majority of the properties.

As part of a small property management team, the position is primarily portfolio-based and includes responsibility for tenancy and property management, including leasing, file management, tenant enquiries and correspondence, maintenance requests and follow-up, arrears management and breach notices.  Previous experience in or knowledge of property management in the social housing sector would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to build strong client relationships through excellence in customer service.

Essential to your success will be your strong communication (written and verbal), numerical and customer service skills.  You will possess a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, have excellent spelling and grammar, strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn new software programs and be a mature-minded, empathetic and energetic people’s person.

You must possess a current driver’s license, be prepared to provide a National Police Certificate and working with children (Ochre Card) check.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.

It is essential that you have a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).
