Human Resources Advisor

Lexveritas is a Brisbane based start-up on a mission to make its clients more productive. We are a fully integrated legal operations business providing Finance, IT and HR services to law firms across Australia.

The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our Brisbane office on a permanent, full time basis.

You will play an integral part of the team by delivering a high quality service across a variety of areas.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for delivering operational HR support to our clients.

This role would be ideal for a current HR Advisor or a HR Coordinator with a minimum of (3) years’ experience looking for their next career move.

Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting the Head of HR on workforce planning, talent management and other matters;
  • Developing and managing workplace health and safety strategies;
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring projects that support employee engagement and wellbeing;
  • Conducting HR reports, HR data analysis and compiling advice based on facts and evidence;
  • Supporting, developing and assisting all members of the HR team on a regular basis;
  • Providing accurate and timely HR generalist advice to stakeholders on matters across the entire employee lifecycle including performance management;
  • Coordinating and implementing quality assurance initiatives;
  • Assisting with policy development, incident reporting, workers compensation claims and other HR metrics;
  • Identifying training needs, analysing root causes of issues and developing recommendations; and
  • Being a point of contact for staff in regards to human resources matters.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s degree or diploma) with at least (3) years' experience in a generalist HR position or HR Advisor role;
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety;
  • Previous experience as a Health and Safety Representative is desirable;
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines together with a high level of attention to detail;
  • A willingness to learn with a proactive, motivated attitude; and
  • Previous experience in professional services and/or the legal industry will be considered advantageous.
