This exciting new role is a central contact point for all GEGAC Aboriginal health workers, nurses, allied health professionals & allied health trainees requiring support and guidance for clinical matters requiring escalation for an endorsed organisational response.  The incumbent in this role will work closely with the Practice Manager, Clinical Services and the GEGAC Nurses to maintain consistent, high quality health standards across the organisation. Including working with our community to ensure that all clients engaging with GEGAC receive an integrated and developmentally appropriate service.

Organisational Profile

GEGAC is an Aboriginal Community organisation based in Bairnsdale Victoria. Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education.

Position Purpose

Qualifications and Registrations Requirement (Essential or Desirable).

Drivers Licence Essential

Satisfactory Working with Children Check and Criminal Records Check Essential

Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Essential

Advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills Essential

A person of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander background Desirable
