Customer Service Officer

Huon Aquaculture Group Ltd. produces around 25,000 tonnes of fresh Atlantic salmon and ocean trout annually and is recognised globally as being a premium producer of fresh and smoked salmon products. For more information, visit www.huonaqua.com.au

THE OPPORTUNITY  

As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be working on a permanent fulltime basis in our Hobart office.  You must be able to work a Sunday – Thursday, Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday roster.  In this position, you’ll provide a high level of customer service to Customers, Internal Sales and Marketing team members and provide support to all other Customer Service Officers and staff as required. Key duties could include but are not limited to:

  • Daily Harvest Planning duties
  • Contact customers, process orders, invoices, and liaise with internal staff as required
  • Investigate and process Customer Claims ensuring all credits and invoices are completed accurately and timely.
  • Process Price Changes and Updates
  • Complete export freight bookings, orders and documentation
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries and complaints from the public
  • Provide support and back up to all areas of Customer Service as required

ABOUT YOU

As the successful candidate, you’ll be an experienced Customer Service Officer who can demonstrate the following: 

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • The ability to successfully operate and monitor online systems
  • Adaptability and initiative
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands
  • Established record in producing high quality written correspondence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all company related material and information
  • High level Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
