Assistant Accountant Receivables

This role provides the opportunity to join the Finance Department and to support the Finance Manager in the production of monthly management accounts including general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries and generation of monthly accounts to trial balance.

You will report directly to the Finance Manager and will work collaboratively with the Assistant Accountant – Payables and may from time to time share responsibilities and workloads to ensure that team goals are met.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • An ability to support the Christian aims of the College.
  • A willingness to take direction and to provide support to the Finance Department team.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Formal qualifications in an Accounting/Bookkeeping discipline.
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of data management, data transfer and data analysis techniques.
  • An ability to effectively prioritise workloads, complete daily tasks and to meet deadlines.
  • An ability to positively interact with people to represent the College.
  • An ability to work within a team environment and to contribute to the College’s goals and direction.
  • A commitment to the principles of an independent education.
