Manager - Corporate Communications

The role:

This role works with the Executive Management team to implement initiatives that support the organisation's strategy and vision through managing the execution of, and providing copywriting for, various projects dealing with media relations, stakeholder relations, marketing, and other corporate communications functions.

This role is based in Bendigo.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive and strategic internal and external communication strategies including distribution plans and schedules that align with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of press releases and presentation materials for internal and external use, corporate/executive bios, corporate websites, and special communications including written copy, project management, and design oversight.
  • Coordinate development, production and maintenance of content for corporate print items (e.g. brochures and flyers), electronic media (e.g. websites, online advertising, social media, presentations and videos), promotional items, as well as company business stationary.
  • Assist with organising company events as needed, webinars, industry events/conference participation, and group employee meetings.


Key Selection Criteria:

  • Must be a proficient copywriter with experience writing for business, media or marketing applications, demonstrating an exceptional command of the English language and grammar
  • Effective and efficient management of staff
  • Experience in employment services is advantageous
  • Project Management and research ability and strong attention to details required
  • Should be a proactive self-starter that perseveres to completion of projects to company standards, with a resourceful get it done assertiveness
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, solve problems and produce under pressure
  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress, and/or comparable design and web formatting programs and photography skills ideal
  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or other related area preferred
  • Five or more years of relevant professional experience preferred, including business and media writing, public relations, design services, and marketing and advertising.
