Recruitment Coordinator

Excelsia College was founded in 1983 as Australia's first Christian arts college and, together with Indiana Wesleyan University, we are part of a global Christian learning community with big plans to take Christian higher education to the next level in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Excelsia College has attained Self-accrediting Authority and is on a trajectory to achieve Australian University College status.

 

Duties

 

Excelsia College is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Recruitment Coordinator. 

The role of Recruitment Coordinator will report to the Manager of People and Culture, to ensure effective recruitment of staff at Excelsia College.   

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Developing industry networks to support recruitment efforts;  

  • Providing recruitment service for Managers of the College; 

  • Providing effective onboarding of staff and promote positive engagement; 

  • Recommending and assisting in developing strategies to encourage professional development aligned to key performance indicators; 

  • Engaging in continuous improvement of processes and procedures supporting recruitment and onboarding of staff. 

 

Selection criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:  

  • Undergraduate qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline or possess equivalent professional experience; 

  • Three years' experience working Higher Education Recruitment is an advantage; 

  • Experience with high volume recruitment is desirable; 

Essential: 

  • Committed Christian involved in a local congregation; 

  • Demonstrated experience of the effective recruitment of aspiring candidates working within the education sector; 

  • Excellent rapport building skills that can build relationships with key stakeholders and access to a good network of contacts and strong experience recruiting through social channels; 

  • An understanding of current and emerging trends in talent acquisition and management; 

  • Self-motivated individual who can work autonomously, resilient, hard-working and who thrives on achieving results; 

  • Effective time management and organisational skills, proven ability to prioritise while simultaneously managing numerous projects/processes often under tight deadlines; 

  • Competent PC skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and an understanding of Recruitment databases;  

  • High level of professionalism and maintenance of privacy and confidentiality at all times with high level of accuracy and attention to details; 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in presentations.
