The Opportunity

As an SMGB Marketing Activation Manager you will be part of an iconic brand reinforcing your reputation as passionate, innovative and driven Marketing professional. You'll have an opportunity to play an integral role in a successful and growing organisation that has a national footprint. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong and intimate knowledge of our brands, market position, merchandise, store network and competitors that seeks and acts on opportunity to strengthen our market position
  • Work cross functional teams to create, manage and produce marketing strategies to identify campaigns that drive sales.
  • Translate strategies to develop, drive & communicate marketing briefs for an Omni-channel retailer that execute the SMGB Marketing calendar and new product launches
  • Own the end to end process for allocated marketing campaigns ensuring timelines are met, costs are kept to budget and sales targets are achieved.
  • Ability to be hands on and own the workload for a campaign, product launch or event end to end, meeting all planned objectives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive progression and alignment of strategic objectives that are the responsibility of the Marketing Team
  • Support the professional growth and performance of the Marketing Team through coaching, supporting and being an inspiration
  • Drive tactical sales growth and strong brand awareness through development & effective implementation of marketing campaigns
  • Conduct a post review of all campaigns with an objective of continual improvement and refinement on the outcomes achieved, processes, costs and timeline
  • Sustainable, continual improvement of all SMGB marketing touch points so that the customer experience promotes return purchase and builds a solid sales stream that meets annual targets set
  • Be a brand advocate in all your communications that encourage positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

 The Successful Candidate Will Possess

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing Management
  • Tertiary qualified in Marketing
  • A proven business and commercial acumen within the retail sector
  • Solid experience in using digital resources, databases & Microsoft office applications
  • Able to effectively use photo-shop, In Design & illustrator software applications
  • Able to demonstrate solid outcomes in previous marketing campaigns
  • Consumer brand experience and a strong understanding of consumer behavior, motivations and trends. 
  • Creative thinking with an ability to articulate great strategy that drives integrated communication and content by tapping into customer behavior.
