In-house Customer Workshop Assistant

Our client is a National Distributor and 3PL Supply Chain provider located in Mile End (SA). They proudly boast solid partnerships with their clients in all facets of the transport industry, Australia wide.

We are seeking an experienced "In-house Customer Workshop Assistant"to join their team, in a new warehouse based in Mile End.

The role

Support the Work Shop operation, handling product into and out of the Work Shop and assist with packing and unpacking of product.
Mainresponsibilities will include:

* Unload trucks each morning and transferring inventory into the Work Shop
* Check that incoming orders are complete
* Cross-check serialised items
* Segregate incomplete orders until completed for unboxing
* Unbox and assembly of the main body to base and move orders into run-up bay for the technician
* Housekeeping for the workshop (keep a check that all recycle bins in the workshop are emptied)
* Weighing of all waste in categories (plastic, polystyrene, wood, general waste, etc.)
Support duties:

* Assemble of optional parts
* Assist with the software side if required
* Any duties to increase productivity and assist with tech staff
At all times ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and
legislative requirements.

* Demonstrate commitment to Health and Safety through personal involvement
* Report all hazards as soon as practicable
* You must always act in a manner that promotes workplace safety for yourself,
your colleagues, clients, and the public. You agree to follow Company safety procedures as well as the proper use of safety protective equipment if you use such equipment.
The Company takes its obligations under various Health and Safety laws seriously and requests that you actively consider and advise methods of overcoming unsafe
acts and conditions in your working environment.
* Full-time hours once restrictions are lifted and operations return to normal but at this time 5 days a week, Mon Fri 30.4 hours per week.
Mon 8 am 3 pm
Tues 8 am 3 pm
Wed 8 am - 3 pm
Thurs 8 am 3:24 pm
Fri 8 am 3 pm

Hours of work Monday to Friday is generally 8 am - 430pm
pay rate: $26.78 per hour
If you have:
* Minimum of 5 years industry experience within a workshop environment
* Forklift licence
* Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, ensuring resources are managed atoptimum capacity to meet productivity and throughput measures
* Ability to build strong, professional working relationships with customers, andprovide a positive outcome for customer interaction
* Prior experience in a similar role
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Good written/verbal communication
* 100% reliability - show up for work on time and get the job done
* Is able to think on their feetand treat the warehouse as it is their own
* Self-motivated and is willingto take action
* The ability to prioritise work demands and operate under pressure
* A friendly personality and a willingness to learn every aspect of the business
