About the Role

As our Category Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and on time delivery of relevant product ranges across the industrial brand portfolio. Reporting to the Industrial Director, you will play a key support role to the Industrial Category Team while ensuring consistent and accurate communication across to the Brand and Sales teams.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Contribute and participate in product development from initial concept, development, testing, production and marketing.
  • Contribute to product and consumer presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to develop marketing objectives and plans for products
  • Assist with the coordination and sourcing of new product samples.
  • Support the Category Managers with product compliance standards and documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of costing to ensure maximum profitability as well as market competitive pricing (Comp analysis).
  • Assist Marketing and Sales teams with Trade shows and presentations.
  • Run category reporting and provide analysis to Category Managers.
  • Ensure Sales team are adequately resourced with product information.
  • Manage and foster customer and vendor relationships and manage price negotiations.
  • Work closely with the Logistics, Warehouse and Finance teams.

 

About You 

As the new Industrial Category Coordinator you will possess:

  • Knowledge of the trade industrial supply industry
  • An engaging communication style and positive influencing skills
  • A genuine interest in the industrial and tooling space
  • Experience in building strong supplier relationships
  • Strong ability to negotiate, coordinate and facilitate performance outcomes
  • Strong knowledge in the use of inventory management systems 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience working with an ERP system and undertaking reporting analysis
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to interpret inventory performance and market trend information
  • Demonstrated product knowledge across key product categories such as LP Gas, heating tools, air and inflation equipment, general tools and Safety, would be an advantage
