About the role

This opportunity is for a casual, experienced Guest Services Officer for our Copeton Waters Holiday Park. This role is a critical part of our wider organisational mission to elevate the standard for holiday parks by delivering outstanding results and establishing lasting relationships. The Guest Services Officer will work a rotational roster across a 7-day per week operation, including weekend and public holiday work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a high standard of friendly and welcoming customer service. The areas of responsibility for this role includes:

  • Provide exceptional customer service including liaising with guests face to face and via telephone;
  • Guest check-in through Newbook;
  • Undertake general office duties, banking and cleaning of office/kiosk;
  • Assist Park Manager and Supervisors with the opening and closing of office;
  • Receiving and dispensing of monies via computerised point of sale register;
  • Assist supervisor with stock take and invoicing for cabin, office and cleaning equipment and chemicals;
  • Undertake housekeeping duties including linen, cleaning interior and exterior of cabins;
  • Assisting as required in the cleaning of guest amenities;
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained;
  • Follow work health and safety procedures; identifying hazards and assessing and controlling safety risks.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • A current manual Driver Licence (essential)
  • Experience in reception or front desk roles
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Certificate III in Holiday Parks and Resorts (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety regulations

The successful applicant will be subject to a National Criminal History Check and a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment, including a Functional Capacity for work assessment and drug and alcohol test.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to obtain a paid Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance as a condition of employment. For more information, visit the Office of the Children’s Guardian website.
