Early Childhood Teacher

YMCA Canberra Children's Services prides themselves on providing quality, engaging and bespoke environments for children to discover and learn in. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our YMCA Gungahlin Early Learning Team on a full time basis.

We are seeking someone who believes in the importance of challenging thinking through reflective practice and is committed to ongoing research and discovery for children. A demonstrated practical knowledge of the NQF and EYLF is essential in this position.  Your passion and enthusiasm for the development of children's formative years through initiating play based experiences, will be demonstrated in your experience of working in the Early Childhood Education sector.

EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

The Early Childhood Teacher position exists to plan, organise and implement the Early Years Learning Framework via a dynamic educational program that builds on children’s existing knowledge and extends their learning opportunities.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

•  Current Driver’s License

•  WWVP Card

•  Degree in Early Childhood Education or Equivalent (or 80% completion of a relevant Degree)

•  First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis Certificate

•  Experience working in an Early Learning Setting

•  Experience working with Children (particularly in the 4-5 year age group)

•  Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
