About the Opportunity

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our Head Office based at Hendra. Reporting directly to the Senior Payroll Officer, you will work in a small payroll team with responsibility for end to end payroll processing and compliance.

 

This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week. Tuesday to Thursday will be required workdays, with flexibility on the fourth day being worked either Monday or Friday.  

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Preparing and processing payroll for staff in accordance with a number of different Awards and EBA’s
  • Maintaining relevant payroll information, including leave and child support records
  • Completing legislative requirements, including PAYG, Superannuation, Qleave and WorkCover
  • Assisting employees with payroll related queries
  • Providing support to management with month-end tasks  
  • Contributing to process and system improvements
  • Perform end to end weekly and monthly processing of payroll
  • Reconciling and balancing payroll accounts at end of month and end of year

  • 3+ years experience in an end to end role payroll position
  • Experience delivery outstanding customer service
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A helpful and collaborative approach to working as part of a team, as well as an ability to work independently
  • Experience within the construction or manufacturing industries advantageous but not essential
