Our client is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) specialising in providing high quality IT solutions and currently has an opportunity available for a Senior Level 3 Engineer / Solution Architect to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years' plus experience across design, implementing projects, networking and virtualisation in a managed services environment.  Technically, you will be well versed across the following Technologies and Solutions:

  • Converged and Hyper converged infrastructure
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, Office 365, Equinix
  • Platforms and OS: VMware, Microsoft, HyperV,
  • Vendors: HPe, Nimble, Cisco, Meraki, Paloalto, Check Point
  • Backup, replication and DR
  • Security

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, audit and benchmark existing customer infrastructure and solution sets
  • Evaluate customer requirements, formulate and architect customer solutions
  • Prepare and provide quotes/proposals for customers, ensure solutions meet or exceed customer expectation
  • Plan, manage and implementation of customer ICT solutions
  • Provides technical support to customers on installations, usage or maintenance of ICT systems to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications
  • Responds to customer inquiries, provide immediate customer assistance for emergency and URGENT fixes as defined in service definition. Creates temporary “work-around” for immediate customer issues where appropriate.
  • Documents and log all customer service requests
  • Use a lab to simulate customer environment and issues (where necessary)
  • Resolve escalated issues at Level 3
  • Follows customer issues through to completion to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction has been achieved. Manage customer expectation.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation, and training material where required
  • Provides work direction, problem resolution, and training to other technical support personnel
  • Assist the sales team by answering questions, providing technical guidance and support

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and troubling shooting skills
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, obtain results, provide solutions for a broad range of technical problems
  • Business Maturity
  • Mentor/Teacher of others
  • High level interpersonal skills, specifically working with co-workers, customers, and management
