Sydney Projects - Boilermaker welders and Riggers

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Boilermaker Welders and Riggers to join our projects team based in Sydney, NSW from July 2020. You will be working on a major infrastructure upgrade project involving the construction of tanks. If you live locally in Sydney, this job is ideal for you. There are no LAHA or FIFO positions available. 

We are keen to talk to you if you meet the following requirements:

Boilermaker Welders:

  • Trade qualified Boilermaker (Australian recognized)
  • Demonstrated experience in Boilermaking, welding and fabrication
  • Proficient in stick and flux core welding and ability to pass ASME standard xray tests –MMAW 2G & 3G.
  • AGW & or AVW Auto Machine welding (Highly Regarded )
  • Welding tickets (Highly regarded)

Riggers

  • Intermediate or advanced high-risk work license – Rigging
  • Basic, Intermediate or advanced high-risk work license – Scaffolding (highly regarded)
  • Intermediate or advanced high-risk work license – WP or EWP (highly regarded)
  • High-risk work license – Dogman (highly desirable) 
  • Willingness to do dogman and T/A duties as required. 

Requirements for all positions:

  • Previous tank maintenance and/or construction experience will be highly regarded
  • 5 + Heavy industry site experience 
  • Construction Industry Induction
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • The ability to work within a team and unsupervised
  • Be physically fit and capable to complete manual tasks – the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling
  • High safety and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test.
  • Safe work at heights ticket (3 yr validity)
  • Confined space ticket (3 yr validity)
  • Proof of right to work in Australia – please provide a valid passport (along with visa if applicable) or birth certificate
