Assistant Educator

YMCA Gungahlin Early Learning Centre is an Exceeding NQS, bespoke purpose built centre with a strong focus on natural resources sourced from our local community. We foster a community of learners, not only within the programs we create for children in our attendance, but for our Educators too. We believe in allowing children time to naturally flow between indoor and outdoor play with a choice of learning experiences. 

We are currently seeking a Full time Assistant Educator who either holds their Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Equivalent or is actively working towards it. You will be a like-minded Educator who will become a part of our vision and philosophy. You will work closely with other educators and families as well as with the EYLF and NQF to assist in the delivery of high quality Education and Care to children.  Your passion and enthusiasm for the development of children's formative years through creating tailored and holistic play based learning experiences will be demonstrated through your experience working in the Early Childhood Education sector, and will have a keen interest and positive attitude in developing your professional knowledge and skills further.

To be successful in this position you will need to possess:

  1. A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or actively working towards it.
  2. Experience within the sector
  3. Experience working with children 0-5 years
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Knowledge of the EYLF and NQF
  6. The ability to work in a team environment 
  7. A current WWVP Check
  8. First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain
