Design and develop product improvements, features, user flows, user interfaces and front-end enhancements.

The company:

  • The Department of Education, Skills and Employment is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to create new and improved user experiences. They are an inspired, motivated and creative design team working across a range of projects within the department.

The role:

  • As the user interface/experience designer, you will work with your team(s) to ensure that digital services are designed and delivered to meet user needs and be easy to use.
  • Work openly and collaboratively to share your ideas, knowledge and approach with team members to build the service design capability and community
  • Develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes


The skills/traits you'll need:


  • A positive, collaborative and open approach centred toward building capability and a supportive team environment

  • Experience wire-framing, journey mapping and prototyping

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.

  • Proven ability to excel within an agile, multi-disciplinary team

  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions and solve problems creatively and effectively.

  • You will receive highly sought after experience within an innovative team working on cutting edge digital products and services. For this position, you may earn up to $100 p/h + 9.5% superannuation and on-going support from your recruitment consultant.
