About the role
As the resident Subject Matter Expert, you will use your knowledge of VET in Schools and Sport and Outdoor Recreation programs to convey your expertise and provide specialist advice and guidance, to both internal and external stakeholders, on all course-specific matters, including but not limited to:
Advising and guiding; the design of training & assessment strategies, solutions and methodologies; the development of training and assessment resources; training and assessment practices; professional development activities
Assisting Schools Relationship Officers with course-specific enquiries and advice
Establishing stakeholder reference groups and facilitating meetings for the purpose of advising the improvement of associated programs
Assisting the Sales Manager with the creation or periodic updating of marketing collateral
Writing, or overseeing the writing of unit-based School Assessed Coursework (SAC) and practice exams, and course-based teacher guides
Fostering (sport & outdoor recreation) industry connections/relationships
The incumbent will report directly to the CEO and will work closely and collaboratively with a number of internal stakeholders, including but not limited to; Schools Relationship Officers; Product Manager; Digital Learning Manager; Sales Manager and; Portal Manager. Externally, the role will enjoy liaising and working directly with Schools and other stakeholders.

Skills and experience
Key Selection Criteria:
A certificate, diploma or degree in teaching or training and/or curriculum development (VET and Secondary teaching qualifications will be highly regarded)
A certificate, diploma or degree relevant to the Sport & Recreation industry, or relevant and equivalent vocational experience
Secondary teaching experience, especially VET in Schools will be highly regarded
A solid understanding of Training Packages and their components
A solid understanding of the VET Quality Framework and RTO compliance
Experience designing curriculum and/or learning and assessment tools
Demonstrated ability to plan, design, develop and evaluate program training programs and resources
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide educational leadership and advice
Experience with Learning Management System(s) will also be highly regarded
Candidates must also have a current Driver's license and the ability to travel interstate from time to time
