Insurance Operations Specialist

This niche insurer specialises in insuring schools, aged care, not for profit churches and heritage-listed buildings. They deal directly with the public as well as brokers and have a strong customer-centric focus.
Reporting to the technical underwriting manager, there is now a vacancy for an experienced operations specialist to come on board. 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Review underwriting management policies and be the point of contact between the Schemes, Short tail and Longtail portfolios
  • Develop and maintain an effective technical training program for Technical Solutions and Client Solutions teams
  • Assist with strategic projects as directed by the Chief Underwriting Officer
  • Manage and coordinate the Underwriting Technical Quality Assessment Program
  • Deliver professional and efficient customer services to internal colleagues
  • Contribute to developing a workplace learning environment
Your Experience:

  • Previous general insurance underwriting experience
  • Training and coaching experience
  • Experience monitoring and coaching around quality assurance
  • Experience monitoring and reviewing underwriting guidelines and manuals
  • The ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both written and verbal
  • Well organised by nature and have the ability to work on several different project s at once
  • The ability to be involved at a strategic level with projects
