We are a Chartered Accounting firm located in North Sydney and we are looking for a permanent / part-time bookkeeper with at least 5 - 7 years appropriate accounting and bookkeeping experience to join our Team.

In this position you will be attending to bookkeeping and general administrative matters on behalf of our clients either in our North Sydney office, at their premises or working from your home remotely depending on the different clients and their circumstances.

You will be assisted and trained as required by our professional accounting staff to attend to the clients specific needs given that you are becoming part of our Chartered Accounting Firm.

Examples of the types of clients that you will be working for include legal practices, consulting firms and financial services.

You will be responsible for:

·         Entering client date using either MYOB or Xero

.         Payroll / Superannuation / PAYG matters

·         Accounts payable and receivable

·         BAS returns

·         Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations

·         Monthly reports to the clients

You will ideally have the following attributes:

·         5 - 7 years bookkeeping experience

·         advanced MYOB and Xero skills including debtors, creditors, payroll, PAYG & BAS

·         intermediate to advanced skills in Excel

·         an eye for detail and a proactive attitude

·         a professional, punctual honest approach

·         concise written and oral English skills which are essential.

The role is part-time with an anticipated 15 to 20+ hours per week. There may be opportunities for further work in the future however this will be reviewed as and when necessary. Days and hours are negotiable within reason and the role would suit a working mum, as we are flexible around school hours if required.
