Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant to assist in Property, Criminal, Family, Wills & Probate, Commercial and General litigation law matters.

Our office is a busy long established law firm based in Springvale.

The role will include:

  • Dealing with clients  
  • Filtering of telephone calls and dealing with enquiries
  • Transcribing digital dictation
  • Email management
  • Assist in drafting and finalising correspondence and legal documents from precedents
  • Assist with file management
  • Will and Probate preparation
  • Online Court document filing
  • Working autonomously
  • Other administrative tasks as required 

The successful candidate must have experience in the above tasks as well as:

  • Professional, courteous and friendly interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • PEXA software experience (but not essential)
  • Conveyancing Manager software experience (but not essential)
  • State Revenue Office Duties Online data input (but not essential)
  • Microsoft skills 
  • Proficient typing skills 
  • Sound computer skills
  • Good organisational skills 
  • Be a team player 
  • Have a friendly and approachable personality
  • A Foreign language (an advantage, but not essential)

The successful candidate will be employed on a pro-rata part-time basis.
