Gastromedicine & ENDOSCOPY is a leading provider of Gastroenterology Care in Springvale and the Mornington Peninsula. Our Specialist Gastroenterologists look after patients with a diverse range of Gastroenterological conditions including Crohn's Disease, Coeliac Disease, Lactose and Fructose mal-absorption syndrome, IBS, Iron deficiency, diseases of the pancreas, liver, upper and lower GI tract. We are committed to the continuous improvement and development of our services and standards of care, to ensure that we continue to provide the highest level of medical excellence and service in every area of our Day Surgery

About the role:      
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who possesses exceptional customer service skills and a keen willingness to learn to work as a Medical Receptionist. The position is located in Rosebud and is casual only, on site working is required but flexible work hours can be negotiated eg school hours. Short notice sick leave cover will be required. Our office open days are monday to friday only.

 Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Acting as the first and central point of communication for the business.
  • Providing a superior level of customer service to our patients, carers and Doctors
  • Completing all aspects of Medicare and Health Fund processing and receipting
  • Daily usage of Medical Software including  billing for Doctors and Anaesthetists
  • Proficiency in Daily Banking
  • General Office duties including opening and distribution of mail,  typing, scanning, filing and archiving
  • Daily usage of Excel and Microsoft
  • Proficiency in taking multiple incoming calls at once and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff

  • A willingness to learn and at times be pushed outside of your comfort zone
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and work efficiently under stress

  • Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Resilience and strong problem solving skills  
  • A  willingness to fit in and embrace the Gastromedicine & ENDOSCOPY values
  • Current working with children’s check
  • Current drivers licence and own car
  • A track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Previous reception experience

Not Essential but ideally but you will bring:

  • Experience with Genie Medical System (advantageous)
  • Experience with Sim Day (advantageous)
