Human Resources Advisor (Part-time)

GCG Health, Safety & Hygiene is a leading provider of Occupational Health, Safety & Hygiene consulting services committed to helping clients keep their people safe.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified, Brisbane-based HR Advisor, wishing to join our Support Services team on a permanent part-time basis to provide additional HR support, specifically to our operations on the east coast.

The role will provide back-up and additional support to, and shared duties with our current HR Team based in Perth, with a strong focus on recruitment, employee engagement, HR planning & projects, HR administration and learning & development.

Role description:

  • Undertake the full range of staff recruitment and selection processes.
  • Coordinate and assist with staff on-boarding and exit interview processes.
  • Consult with line management on all aspects of HR management.
  • Engage with staff  to provide HR support, guidance and advice.
  • Provide project support to HR projects, including research and preparation of documents and implementation of recommendations.
  • Contribute to the review, implementation and monitoring of internal policies, practices and guidelines.
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative compliance in relation to all workplace practices.
  • Assist in the maintenance of HR data in HR Information systems and databases to ensure correct recording and integrity of all position and employment related information.
  • Contribute to GCG's workplace culture through the promotion of our core values and behaviours.
  • Assist with the provision of report requirements for the organisation including HR management reports, leave, turnover, training, exit data, staff surveys, recruitment response rates etc.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and administration of any workplace change processes.

Candidates will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Return-to-work Coordinator experience.
  • A knowledge of HR processes and general HR policy and procedures.
  • A solid understanding of and experience applying Australian employment law and compliance.
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office computing skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills and the ability to collaboratively work within a small team.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and easily.
  • High attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

Candidates will need to be able to travel to our sites throughout QLD and NSW on a regular basis to meet with team leaders and employees.
