The Role: (Please note this is a job share with the current incumbent in the role) 


The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner role is responsible for supporting Managers, Team Leaders and employees to deliver high performance outcomes. Support would include coaching, counselling, project managing staff issues and investigations, problem solving and advice on the management of HR issues.
The HRBP works with managers to design and implement cost effective and business focussed HR strategies and policies which drive the growth of the business and staff retention and engagement.
 
The HR Business Partner will support and drive organisational development initiatives such as change management, process design and improvement, culture, succession planning and employee retention.
 
This role reports to the National Manager, People and Culture.

This is a job share with the current incumbent in the role. 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Building an in depth understanding of allocated business unit and working with Management to build and implement Human Resources solutions and people initiatives in line with business needs
  • Providing recommendations and solutions covering multiple areas of Human Resources, including learning and development, communications, remuneration, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations, organisational or resource planning, organisational change management and/or other services
  • Keep abreast of legislative change and recommend changes to HR policies and procedures to ensure ER compliance;
  • Conduct training in HR processes and procedures and HR internal operations to new and existing HR staff and ASG employees;
  • Ensure that appropriate records, file notes etc are maintained on employee files;
  • Develop internal communication plans for proposed changes to policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for ASG culture to be integrated in HR practices and operations;
  • Work with managers and team leaders to role model the ASG values and business strength.
  • With HR team identify opportunities to improve internal communication; Develop and craft internal messaging on HR operations, policies and projects
  • Undertake and lead HR projects as directed;
  • Fully participate in the projects undertaken by the HR team, sharing ideas and following through on agreed actions;
  • Continually review HR policies and procedures to ensure they are effective, efficient and meet customer needs;
  • Ensure compliance to ASG Corporate and Operational Policies.
  • Timely and Accurate Timesheet Submission & Approval
Experience Needed:
  • A sound understanding of the commercial context of IT Services/Professional services
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels
  • Outstanding ability to manage competing demands and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Sound negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Human Resource organisational policies and generalist HR best practices.
  • Sound knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and highly service oriented
  • Business partnering capability
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel/Word and modern office software
  • Degree qualified in a human resources or a related discipline
