Trade Assistant

Access Hire is a specialist division of Access Group Australia.  We have the nation's largest privately-owned fleet of rental equipment.  Our core business facilitates the hiring, selling, servicing, and transporting of elevated work platforms including scissors, boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts to the Construction, Material Handling and Mining sectors. 

Our Adelaide branch is currently seeking a Trades Assistant to become part of their highly motivated team.

This is a hands-on role and you will an integral part of our team and will work closely with our service, transport, and office teams.  In return, you will be provided with industry leading training and your remuneration will be based upon experience and flexibility.  Please note that a full medical and drug and alcohol screening are a prerequisite to any offer.

THE PERSON:

As well as a person who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement we are looking for someone who can fulfil:

  • General yard duties – sweeping workshop floors, clean-up of the workshop etc.
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
  • Daily inventory and when necessary the replenishment of stock stores.
  • Receiving and dispatching of goods.
  • Manual loading and unloading of goods to transport.
  • Delivery of goods to sites.
  • Refuelling and classifying of equipment.
  • Compliance and full commitment to all HS&E policies and procedures.
  • On-hire and Off-hire of machines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and can work to strict timeframes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with access equipment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday – 07:00am to 17:00pm.
