Call Centre Operator

Our client, a leading NSW government department are looking for a Call Centre Operator on a 3-month contract based in Newcastle to start immediately. 

The Call Centre Operator is responsible making contact with patients to confirm negative COVID-19 results, troubleshoot the system and follow up on test results. The ideal candidate will have come from customer service background within the health sector.

Key accountabilities

  • Effectively capture information, interpret customer needs and offer solutions and/or information
  • Build positive relationships with patients ensuring a quality experience
  • Escalate enquires as required.
  • Follow appropriate processes and procedures with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ensuring confidentiality of COVID-19 results and patient personal and health information.
  • Accurately enter information onto the database in a timely manner.


To be Eligible for this role you will have

  • Have Excellent Customer service skills  preferably within the health sector
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Problem solving and enquiry skills to understand the nature of an enquiry and respond in an efficient way
