Human Resources Officer (Part Time) - Betts Group

We have an exciting opportunity, for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Officer to provide operational and administrative support across a broad range of HR functions.

Reporting to the National Human Resources Advisor, this role is part-time and based at the Betts Group Head Office in Osborne Park.  It is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional wishing to work school hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, updating & development of HR initiatives including but not limited to; policies, procedures, employment contracts, WGE reporting & training material
  • Development of HR practices based on legislative requirements
  • Implementation of effective IR & ER initiatives
  • Researching and assisting with the interpretation of awards, industrial agreements and relevant legislation
  • Undertaking project work
  • Assisting the payroll department during periods of leave

The successful applicant will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • 4+ years Generalist Human Resource experience
  • A tertiary or relevant qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated work experience in providing HR/IR advice
  • Proven well-developed written skills in prior Human Resources initiatives
  • An excellent work ethic with a drive to get things done
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as the ability to accept direction
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines
  • Experience in a Retail environment (desirable)
