Venue Manager

Park House, rising from the ruins of the Mona Vale Hotel, is a multipurpose dining and social space, dramatically re-imagined to match the neighbourhood’s exciting evolution in the heart of the Northern Beaches. The Beaches Favourite Local is proudly brought to you by The Sydney Collective.

The name, inspired by the Park Street location, captures our vision: an open-door, feel-right-at-home social space the community can call its own, reflecting Mona Vale’s hefty food, drink and creative credentials.

Parkhouse is searching for a dynamic Operations Manager who can hit the floor running, someone with strong people and performance management skills, and who can bring their own personality to the team.

We are looking for a self-starter who is genuine, thoughtful, dedicated and resourceful. You need to be able to roll up your sleeves, lead a team and produce results. You will report to the venue General Manager and work closely with the other managers within the venue.

About the role

  • Venue management, leadership, development and coaching of employee’s
  • 6 weeks offsite initial training with paid travel
  • People and performance management
  • Financial management and acumen, managing budgets, wages, cost, weekly and monthly P&L
  • Cellar and stock management, cash control, systems and maintenance management
  • WHS policies and procedures
  • Legal compliance e.g. RSA, RCG
  • Large format and fast paced venue
  • Marketing and business development of the venue

About you

  • Excellent presentation and professionalism
  • Always in the detail with great communication skills
  • Honest and Authentic bar and venue management
  • Experience as a 2IC in a large multifaceted venue
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Retail, Gaming and Bottleshop experience
  • Must be able to work flexible hours consisting of both day and nights
