Urban Well, a new gold-standard multimodality clinic, is on a mission to do health differently. We are in search of an exercise physiologist with an interest in musculoskeletal health and an entrepreneurial streak to join our team.
Our goal is to change the way health care is practiced.
The name Urban Well is new, but it’s the outcome of years of development as Just Knead It, a remedial massage clinic with a great reputation and the highest standards. Musculoskeletal health is our foundation, but we know there’s more to it, and are working to build a comprehensive array of services to meet all the needs of our clients. Our goal is providing people with a toolkit for preventative health, including helping them understand how and why to move their bodies.
This is where you come in.
We are looking for an exercise physiologist to help build the EP arm of Urban Well, working alongside our Director, exercise physiologist Erin. The majority of our work focuses on functional movement and preventing dysfunction, especially in the 45+ age bracket, and is delivered as a combination of one-on-one sessions and small group training. If you love the puzzle of why bodies move the way they do, this is a great role for you.
What's in it for you?
Our goal is to have the happiest and most fulfilled team of health professionals possible under one roof. We strive for nothing less than an awesome team culture and having a bucket load of fun along the way.
Be on the front-line of an allied health clinic that is challenging the status-quo of health care.
Ongoing opportunities for career development and support, with a clear path for job progression.
Generous renumeration and incentives for the right candidate
Learn the business of business from our Directors, who have over 18 years of experience building and marketing allied health clinics.
Be a part of a connected practitioner team, with PD and social functions throughout the year.
Work alongside our team of internal and external referral partners, who are some of the best in the world.
Free access to our large group classes and workshops as well as discounted rates for our other health modalities.
You will be responsible for:
Conducting one-on-one initial and follow up exercise physiology services, with a focus on musculoskeletal challenges and lifestyle-related disease.
Supervising small group training sessions, and leading classes in functional movement, mobility, and stability
With our support, help us accelerate the growth of Urban Well through marketing and promotion to GPs, allied health professionals, other businesses, and the greater community. This is for everyone's benefit - the more people know about Urban Well, the more people will know about you.
Active collaboration as part of an integrated health care team, including internal and external practitioners, with preference given to internal practitioners where possible.
Our ideal candidate will…
Have a strong interest in musculoskeletal exercise physiology and rehab
Be comfortable programming for comorbidities
Be a flexible communicator, able to tailor explanations to the individual
Be self-motivated to excel in all areas of the role
Thrive working in a team environment
Enjoy celebrating birthdays and putting on morning teas for special events within the community with our clients
Be a people champion, able to build strong relationships with different clients without compromising quality on customer service
