Business Services Support Officer

Due to strong business growth, Awabakal is currently seeking a motivated and organised Business Services Support Officer to join the team in the Newcastle Region.

About the organisation

Awabakal has provided health & community services to Aboriginal people living across the Newcastle and surrounding regions for more than 40 years and is dedicated to advancing the wellbeing of our community.

About the role

As the organisation continues to evolve, we are looking for a Business Services Support Officer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing for Aged Care and NDIS Services within Awabakal, back up for the payroll function as well as providing a high level of administrative support to the Business Services team.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Business
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience processing payroll
  • Experience with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong MS Office suite skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people
  • Ability to work unsupervised and with minimum direction
