The Role

Reporting to the General Manager Process, Systems & Training, you will support and maintain an effective Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program and drive business process and control improvements for Royal Wolf.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in SOX planning activities, including review of the Risk Control Matrix and Key Control List documents
  • Manage the Company’s SOX compliance efforts and deliverables
  • Independently conduct process understanding and walkthrough meetings with control owners
  • Assist with identifying key risk in business processes, assessing control design and advising business owners on control improvements over financial reporting
  • Prepare clear and organized audit work papers and ensure relevant control activities are evaluated to assess operating effectiveness of controls across critical cycles
  • Manage timelines, deliverables and reporting

 

About You

Success in this role will come from demonstrated experience in an audit or analyst role. You will demonstrate the ability to function independently, apply professional judgment, interface with all levels of management, and communicate complex matters clearly and succinctly.

 

What you will bring to this role:

  • 2+ years’ experience in assurance/advisory role or SOX compliance testing,
  • CA/CPA or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation preferred
  • Knowledge of financial internal control framework and application along with deep understanding of key business and IT processes (fixed assets, inventory etc.)
  • Knowledge of ERP system-based control design and optimization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of staff and management
  • Advanced skills for use in data analysis, reporting, and data management
  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with minimum supervision
