What you’ll contribute to

An opportunity has recently become available for an enthusiastic full time Electrician to join the team at Gold Coast Airport (GCA). 

Reporting to the Electrical and Grounds Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will provide support to the electrical services team to install and maintain the company’s electrical equipment and systems.

Jared Feehely, who joined the Company as Airside Operations Supervisor and is now acting in the seconded role of Manager Operations and Standards shares his experience of working with GCA.

I joined Gold Coast Airport for the opportunity to be involved in an airport with a lot of opportunities, an airport that is Australia’s sixth busiest and has provided me with opportunities to expand my knowledge, experience and passion for the aviation industry.

GCA gives me the opportunity to do work that I enjoy and am passionate about, while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the airfield in addition to the multiple capital projects currently underway across the airport. “

 

How you will make an impact?

We are looking for an energetic and motivated person with electrical qualifications and systems experience.  You will pride yourself on your work ethic and enjoy making a valuable team contribution.

The Electrician’s tasks, include, but aren’t limited to:-

  • Ensure all electrical equipment and systems operate in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out electrical wiring/ installation work in compliance with current standards
  • Complete regulatory electrical safety inspections
  • Maintain awareness of current electrical/wiring standards and airport specific standards
  • Minimise electrical equipment and electrical system downtime

 

To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional organisational, time and priority management skills and have sound planning, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
